STAR Students
Students Taking Aim at Righteousness
STAR is an acronym that stands for Students
Taking Aim at Righteousness. This honor is given to
students who display Christian Character in their
effort, conduct, and speech. Criteria for the honor are
taken from SCCA’s character training program which is
based on 5 pillars of Christian Character:
- Faith
- Obedience
- Love
- Honest
- Discipline
Students who display
these qualities are nominated by their teachers and all
nominations are submitted to the principal. Once
nominated, these students are observed closely over a
period of time and if they continue to display these
qualities they are named an official STAR
Student. STAR Students receive various awards and
privileges throughout the school year and are honored at
the Awards Ceremony at the end of the year. The
requirements are high and we feel this is an excellent
way to reward and recognize those who truly strive to be
Christian.
